When the sad news of MotoGP's departure from Brno came in December 2020, I was both sad and angry. I felt the need to capture this event on canvas, and that's how the painting CIAO BRNO came to be.
Almost four years later, a much happier news arrives. MotoGP is coming back to Brno. It's official, it's confirmed, I thought. And so the idea of a round stamp with the inscription WELCOME BACK started forming in my head.
The final artwork loosely follows the painting Ciao Brno from four years ago. Back then, it was a waving Valentino Rossi, now it's a celebrating Marc Marquez. By the way, many people ask why Marc Marquez. The answer is simple – Marc Marquez will return to Brno next year, and as a three-time winner of the Brno Grand Prix... And that's no small feat!
